As tensions rise, they\u2019re forced to confront an uncomfortable truth: the lines between them may be blurrier than they ever imagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>MARK<\/strong> (Black male, confident, humorous, and insightful)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>JASON<\/strong> (White male, analytical, sometimes oblivious to privilege)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CLAIRE<\/strong> (White female, assertive, educated, and privileged but unaware of biases)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>BREE<\/strong>(Black female, passionate, hardworking, and outspoken)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Show: <strong>Black Man-O-logues 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Synopsis: There are enumerable perspectives on black love.&nbsp; There is the love between a husband and wife; the love between a parent and child; the love between siblings; the love between best friends, the love of a community, etcetera, etcetera.&nbsp; What runs through the head of a black man when he is confronted with the subject Love? The \u201cBlack Man-ologues\u201d offers answers to the question of \u201cHow Does a Black Man Express his Love\u201d?&nbsp; In this piece, ten diverse characters offer a montage of experiences and perspectives on black love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tisah<\/strong>: Black female, avoidant, married to Purvis, exhibits unrequited love, has fallen out of love with her husband, Purvis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Teresa<\/strong>: Black female, mistress to Pastor Marlon. She is enamored with Marlon. He convinces her that he will leave his wife if she leaves her husband.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sherry<\/strong>: Black female, former girlfriend of Brian. Sherry and Brian share custody of their children. She\u2019s ready to move on but Brian isn\u2019t ready to let go.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shae<\/strong>: Black female, wife to Darnell. Everyday is \u201chot girl summer\u201d for Shae. She\u2019s a hood chick. She takes advantage of Darnell\u2019s kindness and timid nature. She abuses and embarrasses him whenever she can.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rita<\/strong>: Black female, married to George. She loves her husband and they have a great relationship. They keep their lines of communication open and check-in regularly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Niecie<\/strong>: Black female, girlfriend to Crutch &#8211; a drug kingpin. Niecie is forced to hold down the business while Crutch serves time in the pen. The word gets out that her man is holding a secret that could put her life in danger.
